Congratulations to AHS students, Jacob Hicks and Rikki Sanders for being selected to participate in the Texoma Honors Orchestra on Nov. 2-3!
This past Saturday member of the Ardmore Bands from 7th-12th Grade auditioned for spots in the Southeastern Oklahoma Band Directors Association All-District Honor Band and the first round of Oklahoma Music Educators Association All-State Band. Twenty-seven students earned spots in the All-District Band and the six students who auditioned for All-State made it to the next round!
The ACT (AHS Speech and Debate team) and the Opening ACT (AMS Speech and Debate team) competed in their first tournament of the year at Southern Nazarene University.
The ACT received 3rd place sweepstakes and picked up their first five qualifications for Regionals in March (indicated by an asterisk):

Italey Brantley and Tripp Harvey earned spots in the Oklahoma Small Schools Band Directors Association All-State Honor Band. Italey earn 9th Chair Flute and Tripp earned 5th Horn. They will have a clinic and performance with the OSSBDA Honor Band on February 8-10 at Oklahoma Christian Univeristy!
